Background Andrew Garwood-Gowers was educated at Cambridge University and the University of Queensland. His principal research interests lie in Public International Law and International Relations, with a specific focus on international security. Andrew has published widely on the law governing the use of military force and on the 'responsibility to protect' (R2P) concept. Current research projects include investigation of small scale use of force, and the normative development and implementation of R2P.
