QUT Law Founder’s Scholarship recipients had a special opportunity to engage with the judiciary and legal professionals during the annual Law Founders’ Scholarship Fund breakfast.
This year, the event celebrated an important milestone by introducing its first-ever patron, QUT alumna The Honourable Chief Justice Helen Bowskill. Chief Justice Bowskill, who has long advocated for the scholarship, gave an inspiring speech about her unique journey into undergraduate studies and the legal field.
Her Honour concluded her speech by emphasising the importance of diversity and inclusivity within the legal profession. She highlighted that a more diverse and inclusive legal community improves representation and enriches the profession by bringing in a broader range of perspectives and experiences.
In her closing remarks, she encouraged students to always stay true to themselves, reminding them that authenticity and integrity are essential qualities in both their personal and professional lives.
