
Sari’s research interests focus on tax expenditures and fiscal support, particularly for the cultural and creative sectors. Currently, Sari is conducting PhD research that examines federal government fiscal support for the Australian arts sector. Along with consideration of arts related tax expenditures, this research examines direct arts funding and indirect, mainly legislative, support. Sari’s PhD research is supervised by Professor Kerrie Sadiq and Dr Bronwyn McCredie from the School of Accountancy, QUT Faculty of Business and Law, and is a recipient of a Research Training Program Scholarship. Previously, Sari has worked in research positions and has a background working in the arts sector. Sari has worked in both the non-profit and commercial parts of the arts sector in Australia and Finland.
