Dr. Ashesha Weerasinghe is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in International Taxation at the School of Accountancy, Faculty of Business and Law, QUT.
Ashesha completed his Doctor of Philosophy (Accountancy) at Queensland University of Technology (QUT) from 2021 – 2024 and his thesis examined whether CEO, board, and corporate virtue influence Misconduct. He has completed a Master of Philosophy (Accountancy) from 2019 – 2021 and a Bachelor of Business (Accountancy) from 2016 – 2018 at QUT. Ashesha’s research interests include corporate taxation and transparency, governance, misconduct, investments, CSR, board and CEO characteristics, Indigenous reconciliation, and philanthropic giving and volunteering. Ashesha has published research in the Accounting, Auditing & Accountability Journal, Accounting & Finance Journal, Australian Accounting Review Journal, and Pacific Accounting Review Journal.
