PhD degree in Material Science (2017). Department of “Functional nanosystems and high-temperature materials” National University of Science and Technology “MISiS”, Moscow, Russian Federation. PhD thesis: “Synthesis of h-BN nanostructures and their application for fabricating Al-based metal matrix composites”.
After finishing PhD at the National University of Science and Technology “MISIS,” Konstantin became a staff member at Inorganic Nanomaterials Lab (Queensland University of Technology).
Overall, Konstantin has seven years of post-PhD experience as a researcher in materials science with a particular interest in advanced electron microscopy (including in situ techniques) and nanomaterials synthesis. As an academic within the School of Chemistry and Physics at QUT, Konstantin is involved in teaching the following units: “Introduction to Experimental Nanotechnology” (electron microscopy lectures and workshops), “Materials and Thermal Physics” (lectures and tutorials), “Advances in Experimental Physics” (lecturer and unit coordinator).
Konstantin’s key skills and competencies:
- Advanced electron microscopy
- In situ TEM experiments
- Focused ion beam microscopy
- Nanomaterials synthesis
