Past and current projects

  • AUKUS as Ontological Security: This project focuses on the current state of the US-Australia alliance, looking at the implications of the rise of Donald Trump for Australian foreign policy into the future. The project is currently ‘under review’.
  • Ontological (In)Security and the Iran Nuclear Deal: This project looks at the challenges associated with the Iran Nuclear deal in US foreign policy between the Obama and Trump administrations. Specifically, it works to explain variation in US foreign policy decisions on matters fundamental to national security. The paper is published with Foreign Policy Analysis.
  • Obama and the Use of Force: This article examines the use of force by the Obama administration across cases of international intervention. It seeks to explain the factors that lead to variation in decision-making around the use of forces in matters pivotal to the national security of the US. It has been published with International Relations.
