Projects
Partnerships in Improving Education (PIE) (2023 – 2025)
We are developing a new diploma program for current elementary teachers so they can teach in primary schools and retain teacher registration under the new National Education Plan. Schools are changing from a 3:6:4 model to a 1:6:6. There are more than 20,000 elementary teachers who need to upgrade their qualifications.
Together for Education (2017 – 2022)
As part of consortium working in three provinces, we increased boys and girls access to quality elementary education focusing on literacy and numeracy. We worked with teachers, School Boards of Management and families and provided teacher professional development and resources.
Improving opportunities for economic development for women smallholders in rural Papua New Guinea (2015-2109)
My part of the project was working with teachers to integrate agricultural learning in primary classrooms and families to create place based dual language books to reinforce messages about farming, marketing and budgeting.
