
My teaching and research centre on mathematics and statistics being taught and learned in ways that are real world grounded and aligned. I am interested in the ways that STEM is taught, learned and understood in non-Eurocentric contexts and embracing contextualised STEM rather than force-fitting western views and approaches.

Australia Awards Teacher Training and Research in STEM Education in PNG
This project was designed to upskill high school teachers in STEM Education. Between 2020-23, 73 teachers (98%) completed the Graduate Certificate in STEM Education course, through QUT. The project received a Wharton Gold Award (Oceania Category), as well as other state, national and international nominations, and a number of research outputs are under review.
