First Southwest Pacific’s Postgraduate Diploma in Security Studies launched at SINU
On 11th August 2025, the Solomon Islands National University (SINU), in partnership with the Solomon Islands-Australia Partnership launched the Southwest Pacific’s first Postgraduate Diploma in Security Studies. Spearheaded by QUT academic lead Dr Watson, the program equips professionals with advanced skills to address complex security challenges, from climate threats to cybercrime. The initiative marks a milestone in sovereign learning, fostering local leadership and strategic capacity to strengthen national resilience and regional security through education tailored to the Solomon Islands context.
