Kerry Patford BHSc (Nurs) MClinSci(Cancer Nurs) is a McGrath Foundation Chief Clinical Lead and Breast Care Clinical Nurse Consultant for Goulburn Valley Health, Benalla.
Kerry has 30 years’ experience in regional and rural areas in the fields of general nursing, community health and breast cancer nursing. She has established three breast care nurse roles in regional areas, where building relationships with the multi-disciplinary cancer care team and the GP’s is crucial. Ensuring that patients receive best practice cancer care regardless of where they live has always been Kerry’s focus. Most recently this has been through her participation in developing national guidelines, models of care, nurse mentoring programs and strategic advisory groups.
Kerry shares the role of National IBIS-Survivorship Study Manager with Dr Fiona Crawford-Williams and Bethany Crowe.
