The IBIS-Survivorship study aims to implement a standardised, coordinated model of follow-up care involving your cancer specialists and GP to improve your health and experience of care after treatment for early breast cancer.
Breast cancer survivors require survivorship care including:
- Monitoring for a cancer recurrence or new primary cancer
- Encouraging completion of adjuvant endocrine therapy (if applicable)
- Management of a range of effects from cancer and its treatment
- Management of other medical conditions such as diabetes, heart disease etc.
