  • A rural secondary school in South-West Queensland
  • The School Principal (with assistance from Deputy Principal)
  • Five subject English teachers working with Grades 8 and 11
  • Seven Brazilian-background EAL students in Grades 8 and 11:
    • 2 – Grade 8
    • 5 – Grade 11.
  • Parents of the EAL students
  • A Brazilian-background cultural broker and community liaison officer
  • A school administration officer
  • Three researchers (Associate Professor Margaret Kettle, Professor Annette Woods, Professor Susan Danby) and a research assistant (Dr Lynn Downes)
