An animator is working with the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Leadership Team at Metro North Hospital and Health Service to create a series of short, provocative animated videos on cultural safety for clinicians.
Who was involved?
This project was championed by Kirsty Leo and Jacinta Thompson from the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Leadership Team, and enacted by the QUT Design Lab team of Dr Manuela Taboada, Associate Professor Sean Maher, and Professor Sue Carson, working with HEAL HDR Intern Thalia Brunner and with the support of Professor Evonne Miller (co-Director of HEAL).
What was the process?

Options were workshopped with representatives from the Queensland Health Clinicians’ Reference Group using a design thinking toolkit process .
What were the outcomes?
A short animated video is currently under development.
