Videogames are a space that people naturally gravitate towards. Many players are deriving social capital and support through the communities that form around videogame play but many others are missing this opportunity because of real and perceived barriers. There is an opportunity to tackle social isolation by leveraging the inherent appeal of videogames.
The Well Played project will produce a campaign and tool with a view to creating opportunities to find some mates, connect and play. The tool will facilitate players making new connections with like-minded others as well as re-connecting with friends with whom they’ve lost touch.
