Blake Kammermann is a PhD Candidate with the Games and Interaction Design Lab at QUT. His research focuses on videogames and prosocial behaviour. Specifically, the impact that game features such as rewards can have on post-game real life prosocial behaviour such as charitable donations.
During his PhD he applied and was chosen to participate in the CHIPlay Doctoral Consortium. This was an opportunity open to international submissions and provided the chance to publish and present his research direction to the international games research community.
He started teaching at QUT in 2019 as a Sessional Academic. He has taught into several units covering content that includes game design, gamification, game development and production, history of games, and critical analysis of games industry topics. Blake has also participated in peer-review feedback for notable venues including CHI and CHIPlay.
