Charmaine is a visiting researcher with the GRC working to identify the genomics, genetics or epigenetics involved with various neurological conditions. These include migraine, concussion and memory.
Charmaine graduated with a Bachelor of Biomedical Science from Griffith University and when not with the GRC, works as a diagnostic Cytogenetic scientist. Charmaine is actively involved with the Human Genetics Society of Australasia and is the Queensland representative of the special interest group, the Australasian Society of Diagnostic Genomics. She is passionate about ongoing education and professional networking for our young scientists.
Charmaine is currently completing her Masters of Diagnostic Genomics, with completion set for 2019.
