    Elizabeth Briant is a Senior Research Assistant, Sessional Academic and PhD candidate in the Faculty of Creative Industries, Education and Social Justice. Her background is in secondary teaching, and she now teaches in undergraduate and postgraduate education courses at QUT. Her primary research interest is in understanding the growing use of private tutoring in Australia. Her publications in this area have focused on the marketing practices of private tutoring providers, and families’ use of private tutoring. Elizabeth is passionate about creating an education system that empowers young people and values teachers’ professionalism.
