Everyday users survey
Lead researcher: A/Prof. Peta Mitchell
In the first phase of the project, an online survey of everyday Australian users of locative digital media will be conducted to gain a baseline understanding of Australian digital media users’ location awareness and to inform the later design study.
Interviews with developers and app platform representatives
In this phase, the team will also conduct interviews with developers, platform reps, and those working in the geospatial or location intelligence industries. These interviews, along with observations at industry forums like the Geospatial World Forum and Locate, will provide an important industry perspective on factors driving the growth of location-based services and industry’s response to growing concerns around geoprivacy.
