Fruit flies to Padua

As a guest lecturer to the Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters Degree in Plant Health, Tony recently presented a 8 hr master class at the University of Padua on Dacini as invasive organisms and the role of global regulatory plant health in limiting fruit fly invasions.  The Universita di Padova is the second oldest university in the world, and it was a great buzz to teach in the same institution where Galileo Galilei taught mathematics and astronomy.  Tony would like to thank the class for their interest, Dr Alberto Pozzebon for the invitation to teach into his unit and for hosting the visit, and the Plant Health Program for the opportunity and financial support.
