BSc Clin Ex Phys
Background
Jesse completed her Masters of Philosophy (Exercise Science) in 2021 and her undergraduate degree of Bachelor of Clinical Exercise Physiology which included completing a Vacation Research Education Scheme with the team in 2017.
Her professional background in corporate health and clinical practise, alongside various levels of sport has led her to investigate fluid intake practises among endurance runners of varying performance levels.
Jesse has a particular interest in understanding why individuals undertake certain fluid intake practices in all aspects of training and racing, and how that impacts health and performance. Specifically, her Masters project explores current behaviours and beliefs of runner’s fluid intake practises in a heat-based setting, and how they inform decisions and implementation in training and racing environments.
