QUT researchers are leading the development of automation prospecting and progression, engineering support and logistics modelling to design systems, including autonomous marine vehicles and AI, that can deliver reef restoration interventions at varying scales.
- Develop optimised deployment scenarios for use in modelling and decision-support assessments
- Engage government, industry, and community (including Traditional Owners) in the challenge of developing a reef restoration sector that can deploy the methods and approaches developed in RRAP
- Ensure best-practice engineering approaches are applied in RRAP intervention development
- Increase productivity and safety of interventions by identifying and acting on opportunities for mechanisation and automation.
