Energy Production and Storage

Program mission

Energy Production and Storage program will focus on advancing the frontier of energy production and storage technologies (predominately batteries, hydrogen, solar and thermal), with a focus on scalability, efficiency, and environmental sustainability. There will be an emphasis on testing, validation and standards compliance for those energy technologies that are being translated into commercial outcomes. The Program will include research across a wide range of TRLs.
