Final Solomon Islands Research Report Now Available

The final report on domestic violence in the Solomon Islands is now published. Funded by the ARC and conducted in partnership with local stakeholders, including SAFENET, the research centres local perspectives on the causes, impacts, and responses to domestic violence. Insights shared by participants were instrumental in shaping our findings and recommendations, which highlight opportunities to strengthen culturally grounded, survivor-centred, and community-informed approaches. A public seminar to launch the report and reflect on its implications will be held in the coming weeks, in September 2025. You can read the report here: Beyond Imported Understandings of Domestic Violence in the Solomon Islands.
