PhD (Queensland University of Technology, 2019)
Dr. Khanh Luong obtained her PhD in Computer Science, majoring in Data Science, from Queensland University of Technology in 2019. She subsequently worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the QUT Centre for Data Science and as a Research Fellow in Cyber Security, focusing on Security Automation and Orchestration at Charles Sturt University.
In her current role at the ADM+S Centre, she leverages her expertise in multi-modal data analysis, clustering, topic modelling, community discovery and anomaly detection to enhance automated advertising analysis as part of the Australian Ad Observatory project. Her research integrates diverse data sources, including social media posts, ad content, and user interaction logs, spanning multiple modalities such as image, text, video, and time-stamped data, to uncover patterns in ad targeting and user behaviour. Additionally, she examines how emerging technologies, like generative AI, impact modern advertising strategies and influence consumer behaviour, targeting practices, and the overall effectiveness of ad campaigns.
