Kate FitzGerald is a PhD Candidate at the Digital Media Research Centre. Katherine has an academic background in psychology and digital communications. She uses qualitative and digital ethnography methods to study conspiracy theories, information disorder, and knowledge production on digital platforms. Kate has published in journals such as the Harvard Kennedy School Misinformation Review and Media International Australia. She has contributed her expertise to multiple edited volumes and both domestic and international media outlets.  In 2023, she received a CIESJ Faculty Research and Innovation Award.
