Ella Chorazy is a Lecturer at the School of Media and Communication at RMIT in Melbourne, Australia. She completed her PhD with the DMRC in 2018. Ella was awarded the QUT Medal when she completed her undergraduate degrees and was the recipient of several postgraduate research scholarships including an Australian Postgraduate Award, Creative Industries Top-Up Scholarship, and the Tom Dixon Scholarship. She has a professional background in communication and project management, and is passionate about both research and teaching. Ella has interdisciplinary research interests, spanning the fields of political communication, public relations, journalism, media studies and popular culture.
She is actively engaged in the higher education community and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, as well as a member of a number of industry associations including the Public Relations Institute of Australia (PRIA), the International Communications Association (ICA), and the Institute of Professional Editors (IPEd). Ella maintains strong networks with her colleagues at QUT and enjoys cross-institutional collaborations.
