Carmen Quint

    Visiting Fellow

    Carmen Quint is a Dutch visiting fellow with A/Prof Michael Dezuanni. She has a bachelor in Communciation Science and just finished her Research Master’s Degree in Behavioural Science at the Radboud University in Nijmegen. She focuses on research regarding children and news. In the past, she has looked into fields of study like consolation strategies in children’s news programs, the role of executive control in the relation between exposure to commercials and advertising avoidance, advertisement media literacy. For her master thesis, she investigated children’s attention to and selection of (non)constructive news elements in an online environment with an eye-tracker. She is now in Australia to work on the “Advancing the news media literacy of young Australians” project as a visiting fellow.
