Congratulations to QUT DMRC’s Chief Investigator Dr Aljosha Karim Schapals who has released a new publication alongside Dr Christian Pentzold from the University of Leipzig called, Media Compass: A Companion to International Media Landscapes, which will be officially released on August 6, 2024. This new publication gives an extensive and inclusive overview of media landscapes, combining country-specific summaries and cross-cutting examinations of the world’s geopolitical regions.
This publication presents a concise yet detailed account of the media environments of 45 countries and regions. Addressing both long-term media systems and fluctuating trends in media usage, an international panel of eminent scholars describes the key elements in the political, social, demographic, cultural, and economic conditions of media infrastructures and public communication around the world.
