Symposium: Digital Inclusion in QLD: Research Findings and Future Directions

Led by the DMRC’s Digital Inclusion and Participation Program, this symposium will bring together key digital inclusion stakeholders from around Queensland to discuss what can be done to ensure a collaborative approach to addressing the deepening digital divide in Queensland.

The symposium will feature findings from QUT Digital Media Research Centre projects that mapped the digital exclusion experiences of families and the social infrastructure supporting them in four Queensland communities – one outer Brisbane suburb, one regional city, one rural town and one remote Indigenous community.

Gerard Harris and Kristal Burry from the Digital Inclusion team in Customer and Digital Strategy, Queensland Government Customer and Digital Group will also discuss the priority outcomes from Queensland’s Digital Economy Strategy, 2023-26 in light of the need to improve the digital inclusion of Queenslanders most at risk of being left behind.
