
Congratulations to Professor Michael Dezuanni (DMRC Acting Director and Chief Investigator in the ARC Centre of Excellence for the Digital Child), and his colleagues Associate Professor Natalie Coulter, Assistant Professor Alison Harvey, Assistant Professor Desirée de Jesus (York University, Canada), Professor Hyeon-Seon Jeong (Gyeongin National University of Education, South Korea and Partner Investigator in the ARC Centre of Excellence for the Digital Child), and Associate Professor Rebekah Willett (University of Wisconsin – Madison, USA and Partner Investigator in the ARC Centre of Excellence for the Digital Child) for their successful Partnership Development Grant awarded by the Government of Canada Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council.
The grant will support the research team’s project titled Kids, KidTech and the Metaverse: Global childhoods in digital capitalism. The goal of this three-year project is to ask critical questions about children, childhood, and digital capitalism by investigating what it means to be a child in online spaces.
