New Methods for supporting Instagram Research
This workshop offers practical instruction on two new computational tools for the collection and qualitative analysis of Instagram data. We will also discuss ethical issues relating to the examination of visual social media data, and offer a demonstration of a machine-vision system developed to assist in the analysis of Instagram content that is currently under development.
