DMRC welcomes visiting scholar, David Craig, USC Annenberg

David is here during the month of July to further his collaboration with Stuart Cunningham on a forthcoming NYU Press book entitled Social Media Entertainment: An Industry at the Intersection of Hollywood and Silicon Valley.

David Craig is a Clinical Assistant Professor at The University of Southern California‘s Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism.  He teaches courses in media industries, management, and theory, as well as courses on the practice of traditional and social media and entertainment in the Master in Communication Management program.  Craig is a Hollywood producer and television executive who has produced and supervised on the production of over thirty feature films, television programs, staged plays, book projects, and web series.  His work has garnered over fifty Peabody, Golden Globe, and Emmy nominations, notably two Emmy Award nominations as a Supervising Producer on Napoleon and Ike: Countdown to D-Day.  Craig was recently appointed a Peabody Fellow Scholar at The Peabody Media Center. He also serves on the faculty of The Institute for Cultural and Creative Industries (ICCI), a joint program between The University of Southern California and Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
