Iwona holds two Masters and a PhD. In her first Masters, an MA in Applied Linguistics, Iwona investigated the notion of presupposition as used in contemporary French journalistic discourse. Her second Masters (MPhil) focused on the affordances of new technologies to promote collaborative blended learning between Australian and international students from France and New Caledonia. Finally, in her PhD Iwona investigated learning networks and networked learning practices of undergraduate STEM students enrolled in Science and Engineering programs. The PhD was nominated for an Outstanding Thesis Award by one of the external examiners. Currently, Iwona’s research interests focus on learning networks, networked learning, epistemic fluency, interdisciplinary communication, STEM academic teachers’ preparedness to teach and their teaching practices.
