Yuehao is a PhD candidate in the School of Design, Creative Industries, Education and Social Justice Faculty at QUT. Her research interest is to explore technological interventions to promote physical activity and health. She is curious about how technologies can create change in people’s life and she is passionate to design and develop technologies that are truly useful. Yuehao’s background software programming, data management, interaction design and design research.
Thesis Title: Framing and Enabling Children’s Active Play using Novel Technology
This research aims to research and design technology-augmented experiences that support preschool children in improving their physically active play. It focuses on investigating how TEIs promote new perspectives in increasing children’s active play by combining and balancing physical artefacts and digital information. The project will address the research gap of how children’s interactions with TEIs could promote more lasting engagement in their physical activity.
