Dr Shoufeng Cao is the lead research fellow attached to the CRC Future Food Systems funded Smart Trade Hub project at Queensland University of Technology (QUT). Shoufeng has over 12 years of research experience in the fields of agribusiness and supply chain, risk and resilience, digital Innovation, information systems, and blockchain/Agtech adoption. Shoufeng obtained his PhD degree from the University of Queensland (UQ), Australia. He has been working on agri-trade, supply chain risk management, supply chain information systems, digital innovation and blockchain applications in supply chains, and smart trade systems in the agri-food industry. His previous postdoctoral fellowship appointments at UQ and QUT were funded by industry-led CRCs, including the CRC for Developing Northern Australia and the Food Agility CRC. With the Food Agility CRC funded Export Smart Contract Project, Shoufeng and his team won two Good Design Australia Awards for their design-led innovative blockchain solutions in the Australia’s beef industry.
