I focus on shining light on hidden or overlooked potential, through the recognizing people and their practices. This theme runs through my teaching, research and practice in the creative industries.

I am a high-performing and experienced practitioner, teacher and researcher. I have taught at multiple institutions since 2012, with responsibility for creating learning resources, planning and delivering lectures, seminars and studio classes, as well as marking and feedback for multiple disciplines. I have also been instrumental in the researching and writing of multiple new units, which has developed my interest in learning design. This teaching experience draws on 15 years of industry practice, primarily in live performance, and my work as a co-director of The Stitchery Collective, a design collective focused on the social and cultural aspects of fashion.

Currently, I am growing an international research profile in contemporary costume practice, with a focus on the emotional intelligence required to collaborate effectively in design realisation. This research draws together my professional expertise, teaching interests and the capabilities I have gained through my involvement in several national and international research projects over the last decade.
