The QUT Design Lab incubator is designed to enable prototype development and ideation for new commercial and business opportunities. Led by QUT Creative Enterprise Australia (CEA), which is Australia’s only creative tech accelerator and investment fund in Australia, the QUT Design Lab Incubator provides four specific areas of support for start-ups and entrepreneurs. This suite of services combines the QUT Design Lab’s expertise in conjunction with CEA’s extensive experience and success, and includes access to business development programs, networking and training opportunities, workspace solutions, facilities, and financial support:
- Start – providing pre-incubation development to potential new business ideas and opportunities
- Grow – providing growth support to early stage ideas
- Scale – providing business expansion support and access to capital to new ventures
- Connect – providing collaborations, networks and links to industry partners
CEA works collaboratively with qutbluebox in areas of commercialising QUT owned IP and with the new Foundry@D student coworking space In D214 at Gardens Point campus.
CEA provides space to over 100 creative and design entrepreneurs located at Kelvin Grove campus in Z1 and Z9. CEA works in partnership with the QUT Design Lab from J214 at Gardens Point campus.
