Redesigning Healthcare Spaces

From enhancing the quality of life for dementia patients and psychiatric patients in hospital wards, to fostering staff and parent wellbeing in neonatal and paediatric intensive care units, the QUT Design Lab have engaged in a range of projects redesigning healthcare spaces through art, design, and strategic thinking. Through methodologies like design futuring, co-design, and spatial thinking, we collaborate with clinicians, patients, families, and other stakeholders to reimagine the possibilities within healthcare spaces. Here we display some of the concepts born from these collaborations, illustrating the valuable and evolving role of designers and design thinking in shaping the future of healthcare environments and contributing to holistic wellbeing.
