Getting Here

QUT Design Week 2019 will be proudly hosted in D Block, Gardens Point Campus. Gardens Point is our inner-city Brisbane campus, located next to the Brisbane River, the Botanic Gardens and Parliament House.

Public transport

You can travel to and from Gardens Point by bus, train, CityCat (ferry) or taxi.

The campus has its own CityCat stop, and is a short walk from Central and South Bank train stations, and King George Square and Queen Street bus stations.

All public transport in South-East Queensland is run by TransLink.

Parking

Limited paid parking is available on campus.

There are also commercial car parks within walking distance in the CBD and at South Bank.

Connecting to the QUT Conference Wireless Network

If you have an eduroam account use the ‘eduroam’ wireless network as you would at your home institution.

Via a mobile device (Phone/Tablet)

1. Go to your device’s ‘Settings’ menu
2. Select ‘Wi-Fi’
3. Select the network called ‘Events@QUT’ (If you have used this service before you will have to “Forget this Network”)
4. When prompted for a password, enter: aoir@2019 (password is case-sensitive)
5. Open any web browser to http://www.qut.edu.au/ (do not use https://) and a page titled ‘Welcome to Events@QUT’ will appear, displaying the service Terms and Conditions.
6. Select the ‘Click to Accept’ the Terms and Conditions option to commence using the conference wireless service.

Via a laptop (PC/Mac)

1. Go to your wireless network connections, by clicking on the ‘wireless’ logo on your laptop.
2. Select the network called ‘Events@QUT’ (If you have used this service before you will have to “Forget this Network”)
3. When prompted for a password, enter: aoir@2019 (password is case-sensitive)
4. Open any web browser to http://www.qut.edu.au/ (do not use https://) and a page titled ‘Welcome to Events@QUT’ will appear, displaying the service Terms and Conditions.
5. Select the ‘Click to Accept’ the Terms and Conditions option to commence using the conference wireless service.
