This project addresses a gap in knowledge between development of agricultural technologies (agtech) — including precision agriculture, Internet of Things (IoT), robotics, drones and smart farming — and the successful uptake of such technologies in practice. Case studies of Queensland farms will be undertaken to better understand farmers’ inclinations and practices in relation to agtech adoption. This cross-disciplinary project team is co-led by Dr Amber Marshall and A/Prof Carol Richards, and will be executed be in partnership with industry collaborator Data Farming.
