Please join QUT Design Lab for a Methodology Masterclass on Wednesday 29 May, 2-4pm. We will be hosting Associate Professor Lizzie Muller (UNSW) who will present a masterclass about Visual Matrix Analysis, a relatively new approach to examining aesthetic experience. The masterclass is suitable for experienced and early career researchers and open to QUT researchers.
The Visual Matrix (VM) is a new group-based visual methodology developed by researchers at the University of Central Lancashire in 2015. Its development was funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council as part of the Cultural Value Programme. The Visual Matrix grew out of a groupwork practice known as Social Dreaming.
As a researcher engaged in the development and application of Visual Matrix Analysis, Associate Professor Muller will provide insights into how the method is continuing to develop. For example, during her visit to Brisbane, she is developing the method to be culturally safe and appropriate for creative projects that integrate Australian Indigenous knowledges.
Places are limited and offered on a first-come basis.
