The Design Lab is pleased to introduce our new Centre Coordinator, Sentha Govin-Vel, who commenced in the role this week.
Sentha brings a wealth of diverse expertise to the table, honed over 15 years across three universities. Her roles have ranged from tutor and sessional academic to professional staff member, providing her with a deep understanding of academic environments. Her recent roles at QUT includes providing support to staff, hosting MPhil Symposiums, Learning Content Development – reviewing and creating HDR Supervisors’ modules and guidelines as well as HDR Partnership role, looking after placements, internships, and 3MT showcase event.
In addition to her academic experience, she boasts 17 years of entrepreneurial endeavours, spanning coaching, mentoring, and training. Her multifaceted background encompasses domains such as banking, software engineering, administration, coaching, and training, highlighting her adaptability and versatility. Notably, Sentha is an expert in Emotional Intelligence and plays a pivotal role in moderating Emotional Intelligence for Researchers at eGrad School. Currently, she is in her final year of her doctoral research where she explores the intricate association between overparenting, social media use, and anxiety, demonstrating her ongoing commitment to scholarly pursuits.
