Umba Peter is employed as male advocator with Kafe Urban Settlers’ Women’s Association in Goroka, Papua New Guinea. As a human rights defender, he works with men and young people in community projects, and often integrates sports in youth advocacy programs. Umba is an experienced facilitator in using drama and participatory learning strategies for advocacy. He is a lead facilitator for the Communicating the Law Toolkit and mentors junior facilitators and human rights defenders to implement participatory workshops with community groups.
