Dirty Hands: Community engagement through practice as research

The special themed issue of peer reviewed journal Social Alternatives edited by the Creative Lab’s Associate Director Donna Hancox and School of Creative Practice researcher Dr Lee McGowan is now available.  Dirty Hands: Community Engagement Through Practice as Research focuses on the role of creative practitioners in the community and the ways in which that is community engagement changing to meet their demands and the need for increased evidence of impact.  The issue features a number of Creative Lab researchers addressing themes across place-making, feminism, lived experiences, experimental practices, and performance, including Rachael Haynes, Courtney Pedersen, Sandra Gattenhof, Nathan Sibthorpe, Sorin Oancea, Tricia King, Yanto Browning, Kiley Gaffney, Kathryn Kelly and Alex Philp.
