Robyn Matthews

Master of Applied Science (Research) Student, School of Nursing

Robyn is a clinical nurse who works primarily as a facilitator and educator to oncology nurses in Cancer Care Services at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital. She completed a post graduate Certificate of Nursing (Cross specialisation) through QUT in 2015. In 2016, she commenced her Master of Applied Science researching the factors influencing self-efficacy of healthcare professionals towards end-of-life care in the acute care setting. The research also explores the educational needs of healthcare professionals and delivery methods of education that are effective in improving self-efficacy towards end-of-life care. Robyn is looking forward to finishing her thesis and translating the findings into clinical practice.
