Dayna Williamson

Master of Philosophy Candidate, School of Nursing

Dayna is leading an investigation of genomics implementation in universal healthcare systems. This research sees her utilising over a decade of professional experience leading system-wide health transformation programs including more recently as General Manager of Queensland Genomics where she leads the clinical program and strategic engagement with Queensland Health for the adoption of genomics in clinical practice in Queensland.

Her background in business leadership and innovation management (enabled through an Executive MBA from QUT) has resulted in several international awards for innovation management and business planning including an Innovation Award from the Houston Technology Centre Asia and first prize in the 2016 Global Business Challenge. Dayna aims to bring her business background to her health research project to support patients, families and healthcare systems worldwide to benefit from genomics and precision health.
