Recovering from Late Effects in Children after Cancer (RECOVER)

Project dates:
Commenced: 2022
Completion Due: 2025

Four out of every five childhood cancer survivors are at risk of serious physical, psychological, or social late effects that may prevent a young person from ever reaching their full potential. No clear research evidence exists about how to best provide care for childhood cancer survivors.

This project will directly address this gap by developing, implementing, and evaluating a novel model of technology-enabled integrated survivorship care. Young cancer survivors will be equipped with the information required to make informed choices about their future care and the services available to support them.

Project outcomes: This project seeks to implement this new model of care into routine practice and to understand the sustainability and preliminary efficacy.
