Childhood brain cancer cOuNselliNg and EduCation supporT Service (CONNECTS)

Parents of children with brain tumours have expressed that significant barriers exist to accessing support, such as heightened demands on their time, a need for psychosocial support where the care provider is cognisant of their cancer-related needs, and de-prioritising their own needs during their child’s health crisis. The CONNECT project aims to fill this gap, co-designing resources and supports with clinicians and consumers. The co-designed project involves iterative phases to build and refine the intervention components which will then be tested in a future implantation effectiveness study.
