Teaching palliative care for Australian Indigenous peoples?
This was the workshop presented by the PCC4U team today at the ANZAHPE Festival. The team showcased the recently released PCC4U Focus Topic 2 Toolkit: Caring for Australian Indigenous peoples affected by life-limiting illness. The aim of the resource is to prepare the health workforce to provide compassionate and culturally-appropriate palliative care. This resource has been developed through extensive consultation and engagement with Australian Indigenous and non-Indigenous stakeholders. Learning approaches are based around Indigenous ways of knowing, being and doing. Learning outcomes have been mapped to key strategic frameworks, for health, cultural safety and palliative care. https://pcc4u.org.au/learning/topics/topic2/
