Our research focuses on the issues facing consumers in a rapidly transforming environment.
We seek to evaluate, test and challenge existing regulatory and legal frameworks with respect to emerging challenges for consumers including:
- an individual’s right to control the access to and use of personal data;
- risks to consumers from data and automated systems;
- how data can be used to improve information disclosure to consumers; and
- risks associated with storing, sharing and spending money with respect to crowd funding, virtual currencies, peer-to-peer lending and mobile wallets.
